Expectations: To enhance my inter-personal skills through interactions with my teacher and course mates from different backgrounds, gender, religion and culture. These would facilitate my decision making ability. I also expected to get exposure to the various approaches that I can use during consultations such as verbal (interview), filling forms or by reading instructions given by the consultants.
Reflection: I have had practical experience of dealing with employees on the issues of confidentiality by reassuring the staff of listening to their concerns with sensitivity. By interacting with the tutor and seeking guidelines, I have learnt to appreciate that I also need assistance in some aspects and making enquiries is the best option. I learnt that relying on diverse sources for information can help in making wise choices.
