Children with a dysfunctional childhood in the movie faced problems in the teen years. While others themselves turned into like their parents in a later stage in their life creating a dysfunctional childhood for their children. IN the episode of 7 Up all the children are highly motivated; regardless of their class and have high aspirations.
Therefore the social class for them did not impact their choice of career as much as it impacted their choice of method taken to achieve their desired future careers. The affluent children sought out elite schools and colleges for their education while others struggled to have access to good schools. Moreover some of the children abandoned their education after high school bringing a halt to their future careers. The latter reaction however was a result to the opportunities presented to them and the way they took, or in some cases, did not take advantage of them.
