You have written the perfect essay, the introduction is catchy, the body is informative but you are stuck with the conclusion?
The conclusion of an essay is the most important part and your last chance to prove yourself a good writer so never take it lightly. Make sure that like the rest of your essay the conclusion is also very remarkable, and leaves a good impression of you in the mind of the reader.
Read the whole article to find out how you can conclude your essay in the most extraordinary way.
Sum up
In your conclusion, sum up the main points of the essay. Also briefly write your opinion and argument on it. However make sure that you do not provide a whole summary of the essay because that will become dull and will lose the attention of the reader. Do not repeat yourself.
Draw a conclusion
After analyzing all the points, opinions and arguments you have made, come to a thoughtful conclusion. Write that down so that the reader knows that you haven’t just written the problem but also given a solution to or opinion about it.
Remind the main focus
In the first or second sentence of your conclusion repeat your thesis statement so that the reader is reminded of what the main focus of the essay was. Make sure that you rephrase the statement and do not write the exact words you have written in the introduction.
Include a personal touch
Write a personal note or opinion of what you feel about the topic. Give a light hearted thoughtful insight. However make sure that whatever you write is in accordance with the topic. If your essay is on a serious topic such as cancer patients make sure you do not end with a joke instead write something heartwarming.
Be brief
Your conclusion should ideally be one paragraph comprising of 6-8 lines. Do not go on and on with the conclusion as the reader will lose interest and your well written essay will lose its significance. Your conclusion should be brief, energetic and persuasive.
