Abraham is one of God’s servants whose historical life is outlined in the book of Genesis in the bible. His initial name was Abram, which was later changed by God when He called him to be His servant. He is known for his great faith and trust in God and as a man through whom God made promises to his children, the Christians.
Despite him being a strong believer, he was born and raised by parents who were idol worshipers in a community where God’s word was not prevalent. However, despite his situation he condemned idol worship and believed in a living God who had the power to create, destroy and do all things that can only be done by someone who is alive.
