The position of the white people in the society makes it their responsibility to stand up for equal rights for everyone and establish equal footing which is free from discrimination and racism. This can be done by being vocal about ones views pertaining to racism and not tolerating remarks, comments or even jokes passed by blacks or whites which are derogatory for the non white people. One action that can be taken on our part is to be very vocal and stand up for equality of people or to simply stay mute and not participate in any such discussions. This is better than siding with equality of people but then joining in on jokes, comments which are made at the expense of or targeted at the non white community.
