When compared to the iGerenation, it can be said that the internet generation is also more casual and it is depicted in the way people communicate with each other through the internet, and through mobile phones. Similarly the way my generation uses the internet as the most convenient and basic tool for communication and contacting their peers and friends depicts the casual relationship that they share and the casual nature of the communication that takes place.
However the element of declining social values is relatively less active in the iGeneration as opposed to the generation depicted by Twenge. This is because the iGeneration is more responsible for their actions, more independent and therefore has learnt from the mistakes made by the previous generations. As a result the iGeneration has taken the strengths of the previous generation which include the importance of a family structure, the independence and responsibility of the individual as well as high social values that they integrate in their new generations.
