On the other hand the government of Quebec employed the strategy of using excessive military action and the armed forced against the defenseless Mohawk who were simply protesting illegal encroachment on their land. As a result the way the Canadian government handled the situation with the Mohawks as depicted in the movie greatly disappoints and the challenges my perception of Canada which is supposed to be a free and independent country that respects the rights of every one which is obviously not the case.
